Here’s a colorful, international look inspired by Africa, the Orient, or Middle Eastern tapestries; beads and blazing reds, yellows, greens and golds. Americans are calling it “ethnic” which seems a little out of date, but hey, I guess the politically correct era is over. Let’s call it international. Here’s the bag that started the trend in the first place. Inspired by the Kalahari desert bushmen (unlikely as that is for European high fashion) the Kalahari GM is a colorful Marc Jacobs design that’s jaunty, a touch risqué, bright, bizarre, young, ruched and uh…pretty cool.
